Our actions

The Fondation de France supports initiatives for the dignity and rights of the elderly, as well as opportunities for their civic involvement. These initiatives have four common objectives:

  Support age-related decline by helping the elderly to exercise their autonomy (by encouraging their ability to move freely, by developing nighttime assistance services and access to new technologies, etc.) and their free will (continuing to manage their own finances, sharing a bedroom with their spouse, etc.).

  Recognize the elderly as fully-fledged citizens and involve them in the activities of their neighborhood or town.

  Develop palliative care for the elderly and offer support to professionals and families facing the end of life and the grieving process.

  Promote new forms of cohousing.
